NewFriendsRescue Inc is a nonprofit organization (not a 501(c)(3)) founded to be the call an animal in crisis can count on. We work across the five boroughs to intervene in cases of cruelty, neglect, abandonment and owner surrender — and to give every animal the pathway they deserve.
Our mission
To rescue animals from suffering, advocate for their welfare, and place them in loving homes or trusted partner rescues.
Our approach
We respond to reports with urgency, provide immediate veterinary care, and build long-term recovery plans for every animal we take in.
Our promise
No animal in our care is a case file. They're companions in transition — and we treat every step of their journey that way.
What we do, every day.
From cruelty investigations coordinated with local authorities to the small routines of a foster dog's first safe night, our work spans emergency response, long-term care, and community education. We collaborate with veterinary partners, trainers, transport volunteers, and other rescues to give every animal the best possible outcome.
